Over 200 Scouts from Preston District joined the rest of West Lancs County for an action packed adventurous weekend on the annual county camp on a sun-drenched weekend at Waddecar.
County Rally is organised by West Lancs Scouts as a fun filled, adventurous weekend where Scouts get a chance to take part in many different activities throughout the weekend. So many activities were on offer for them to take part in including: Climbing, abseiling, canoeing, archery, inflatables, a water slide and so many more. The annual tug of war and volley ball competitions were a great success as usual, with one of the Preston teams (46th Preston) coming second in the tug of war.
On the Saturday night the almost famous Waddecars Got Talent show brought amazement and laughter to many in the audience. Acts ranged from singing to dancing and even the odd sketch and magic show. The talent show just gets better each year, well done to those who took part.
Steve the lead organiser for Preston District stated “This was the best County Rally we have had for years. The activities on offer were tremendous, the atmosphere among participants was electric and of course the sunny weather just topped off an amazing weekend”.
With just over 1000 participants on the camp in total it really does show that Scouting in West Lancashire is thriving and providing amazing opportunities for all involved.
