Group Scout Leader – 4th Fulwood

Have you got what it takes to lead? Do you want to benefit young people on your community, make friends and gain new skills at the same time? Then this could be the volunteering opportunity for you! 4th Fulwood needs a new Group Scout Leader.

The Group Scout Leader is responsible for managing and supporting the Group and its Leaders to ensure it runs effectively and that Scouting within the Group develops in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scout Association.

Ideally you’ll have excellent communication and management skills. Previous Scouting experience is not essential.

We can offer you a free DBS check, free training, masses of career skills, and a great chance to improve your CV. There’s also plenty of support. The most important part is that it’s fun and incredibly rewarding. As part of your role you’ll get to take advantage of our excellent and externally recognised training programme. You’ll complete some mandatory modules to support you in your role, along with modules that you agree with your personal training advisor based on your interests and existing experience.

Being a Group Scout Leader is a flexible role. How you manage your time is up to you. Realistically it would involve one or two evenings a week (during term time) supporting the group and a few committee meetings a year.

This is a voluntary post with paid expenses.

The closing date is Sunday 22nd April
